Exclusive: Check out the new ‘Trapp Metal’ EP from Whyte Henny
PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED TO AXS.COM
Steadily gaining national and international acclaim and support from industry legends, Trapp Metal pioneers Whyte Henny are returning to AXS with an exclusive first look at their new “unplugged” EP release, Trapp Metal, which will be out next week under the London Rowe Music umbrella. Although “Shut it Down,” made its way to radio stations around the country as early as Spring of 2015, fans have had to wait patiently for the EP’s full release. Today, we’re proud to premiere Trapp Metal in its entirety, in the 17-minute video embedded above.
AXS last met with Whyte Henny on April 6 to find out who he was and what he was about. Featured on some of the largest hip hop sites out there, he had been quickly making a name for himself. As the pioneer of a new genre, called Trapp Metal, one finds Whyte Henny’s music “an exotic blend of Trapp Beats, Hip-Hop, Metal, Ska and Spanish Guitar.” As a young man with both Caucasian and Latin roots, Henny’s background gives him leverage over many voids other artists have been unable to fulfill. His personal style sets him over the top.
Since the last encounter with Whyte Henny, he has been pretty busy. What has he been doing? Well, he definitely “shut it down” when opening for The Chimpz at the Blue Room and also for ¡MAYDAY!, a band signed to Tech N9ne’s Strange Music Label. He was part of an event at Buchmuller Park in NJ, benefiting suicide awareness through The J-Shine Foundation. He’s even performed at a few “10th Street Live” events hosted by Don Jameison of “That Metal Show Presents” on VH1 Classic.
n coming months, London Rowe Music plans on unleashing an onslaught of new releases, including the first episode of “Whyte Lyfe,” a reality show circling a day in the life of Whyte Henny, a remix to “Shut it Down” and a “Special Event” video on Halloween. As of now, Whyte Henny has a show at Lou Lous’ in the “W” hotel in Hoboken, NJ set for November, as well as an appearance on The Real Radio Show in Massapekqua, NY.
In 2016, audiences can look forward to the release of a second EP, which is slated to be even bigger and better than its predecessor! Following the release of this EP, he will be heading on a college radio tour with dates and locations to be announced, in addition to his upcoming appearances at many of the nation’s largest music festivals.
In presenting this unplugged video EP to his supporters, Whyte Henny leaves audiences with this message:
“Thank you to all who have supported our brand thus far. We work hard to continue to bring you our innovative “Trapp Metal” sound, and we look forward to branding this genre for good. Thanks for your continued support and belief.”
