In an era of hashtags and memes, it is somewhat more effective to create a social campaign surrounding a hashtag in order to promote your cause to the World than it is to send out brochures and e-mails, promoting your cause. Statements made through hashtags on Social media are more personable this way.

People are able to connect to those with similar interest by simply clicking hashtag phrases for similar conversational results. Or, they may understand an unfamiliar phrase in a more in-depth matter. These statements are short and simple. They are able to speak their mind in few or minimal words.

In many instances, hashtags actually work as a silent protest and petition. They act to connect users in conversation surrounding issues in their communities or lifestyle. Some hashtags actually gain interest based on the “support” they receive by the social networks that host them.

Take Twitter, for example, they use trending topics to continue social conversation in their system platform. In representing a specific cause or movement, hashtags are simply a way to take a stand, state your opinion and gain awareness while branding a cause with more information. It is a new era. It is our era!

Today, December 23, 2014, representatives of The Sabir Bey Show on LA Talk Live spoke with Examiner about their current “#MoorishLivesMatter” campaign that has been taking over conscious communities around the World. While not as widespread overseas as it is in the United States and Canada, there is a growing interest in this movement, as seen in Europe, Africa and even Australia by many who are aware of their Moorish heritage and decent, especially in the wake of current racial tensions in the US.

Regardless of TMZs ignorance of the Divine Moorish Nation and the misrepresentation in the media and courtrooms of the community, awakened Moorish Americans thrive in numbers, continuing the traditions, practices, ideologies and sciences of their ancestry that was once hidden from them. The problem is that many Moors, today, still do not know who or what they truly are. In fact, those who call themselves “Black” or “Colored,” are doing themselves and their families injustices by not knowing who they truly are. That’s what the #MoorishLivesMatter campaign aims to rectify in educating the masses of their direct origins and rich histories that were stolen from them through unconstitutional highjacking of the law and domestic terrorism that plagues our neighborhoods today.

Many Americans today do not realize that Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and John Adams had to sign a treaty with the Sultan of Morocco, Muhamad III, called The Treaty of Peace and Friendship, in order to establish the United States within America’s borders in 1786 and 1787 — The United States, being a trade partner with Morocco and publicly recognized first by the Sultan and then the rest of the World. They do not realize that George Washington’s “cherry tree” was a metaphor for the Moroccan flag of red and green or that The United States Constitution was actually based on Moorish Laws and Principles, as well as Islamic beliefs!

They do not realize that the Moors were the reason Europe became a civilized continent or that they created means for education, language, plumbing and just about every important part of our everyday life! Worst of all, they do not know that the Moors were here before Columbus set sail to the Americas and not all persons with melanated skin came here because of slavery! These are only basic points of interest, but they are important in realizing the dehumanization of a people and the domino effect of human rights violations on today’s communities.

Many people in society say that racism does not exist. They say that slavery has been over for 200 years, but they fail to realize that segregation, hate crimes in the forms of hanging and burning of flourishing cities and the monsterization placed by the media still exist today in some form or fashion, while formally being “ended” less than a century ago. Let’s try less than 50 years ago! They refuse to see that terrorism exists in the World by many authorities. But, what makes it worse, is that “terrorists” can legally get away with it.

#MoorishLivesMatter, as opposed to the popular hashtag #BlackLivesMatter is more meaningful and more likely to make change than the previous. The goal is awareness. Lessons of History, Civics and Law teach knowledge that has been unrealized.

By hiding true histories of bloodlines and dumbing down society, there is a lack of knowledge of the law. And while the Supreme Court has recently ruled out the need for the police to know the law when arresting you, there is no excuse for ignorance of the law. And, it is just that that has created an ongoing cycle of war crimes from physical to mental warfare. While slavery has been over by law, it is the same law that keeps the same people who claim to be descendants of slavery “chattel property.”

Laws and rights of Aboriginal and Indigenous people are very separate from those who are not of the land. It is based on Common Law. They abide by the laws of the land but are not held in the jurisdiction of the Nation who is creating those laws. Because the United States formed through the immigration of European settlers, their laws are separate from those of the people who were here before them.

Treaties in US law verify this and establish these boundaries. Some have worked hard, however, to find loopholes around them, including the creation of certificates to hold people as property, as well as laws that require these people to blindly accept alternative contracts in order to obtain rights given to them in exchange for their contract.

In the case of those who have the belief that they are crayons, based on the thirteenth amendment, they fail to realize that they are only counted as ⅗ of a person in law and are not entitled to anything unless given through process. Using the hashtag #MoorishLivesMatter, one will see the Dred Scott Case being referenced, whereas between the years of 1847 and 1858, Dred Scott fought for his freedom only to be denied by the Supreme Court that ruled out that his “blackness” meant he could never become a true citizen of the United States.

This is strengthened through knowledge of legal jargon (This can be referenced in Black’s Law Dictionary 4th edition and earlier.), whereas “Black” references “CIVILITER MORTUUS (walking dead)” in law and “White” basically means “free and legal status.” If you are dead, you have no rights.

As a matter of fact, #MoorishLivesMatter will also bring up term results for an immigration law that still holds effect today. This law is the Naturalization Act of 1790 that states that “Free White Persons” are not necessarily Caucasian and that those of Moorish descent are also “white” in law. This means that there is a nation to back them in the time of turmoil on this land, whereas there is no country called “Black” or “Africa.”

#MoorishLivesMatter often asks, “Which country in Africa are you from, if you are African American? And, which country in America are you from?” They discuss how these continents are made up of many countries. When there are two nations in dispute, the United Nations may then become a mediator. When there are not two nations, the UN cannot interfere. This is one way much injustice is done on American soil, soil previously known as North West Amexem or Al-Moroc.

#MoorishLivesMatter intends to be a trend that creates awareness and saves lives, while creating opportunities for our future generations, predicted by the Prophet Noble Drew Ali to “come in with their eyes wide open, seeing and knowing” the truths of the land. It was Noble Drew Ali who brought this information to the attention of many in the 1920s in hopes of “uplifting fallen humanity” through the five “divine” principles of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom and Justice, which are also symbolized in the five points of the green star in the Moorish American flag.

#MoorishLivesMatter reminds us that there is a unity to uphold and that many who consider themselves of the European race are actually of Moorish Descent, including Sicilians, Spanish, Irish and French persons.

There is often a misunderstanding that Moorish people are of Muslim origin, while it is true that many were and are. Even Noble Drew Ali stressed that first man must find his religious creed to establish spirituality with his creator, but only to find “Self-Knowledge, Self-Realization and Self-Revelation” and that this is the route to creating the perfected man. This is how unity is understood through multiple bloodlines of Moorish Origin, as well as the several different religious practices of all in this community.

Today, September 15, 2014, a personal disclosure by Sabir Bey (activist, producer, television show host and public speaker) was made to Examiner.com via telephone interview that spoke on recent happenings with The Sabir Bey Show on LA Talk Live. As of September 9, 2014, The Sabir Bey Show entered its third season with the continued mission of delivering “Pure Edu-tainment” to viewers in over 180-countries around the World.

The season kicked off with special guest, Pilar Biggers Sanders Love El-Dey, who shed light on very controversial topics in her life which surrounded a recent divorce with Deion Sanders and included child abuse, domestic violence, slander, defamation, attempted murder, political blackmail and unconfirmed, exaggerated, misrepresentation provided by TMZ to the masses.

The Sabir Bey Show continues to use Online platforms as a form of Public Relations in order to share “#truth” and “#edutainment” with the masses, by allowing the “other side of the coin” to be told. A very important topic that will be addressed is the defamation of the Moorish people (the “so-called people of color”), who share a very rich heritage that often goes without acknowledgment in today’s Global society. TMZ has released a very disrespectful and disturbing video piece that has offended many of those who are aware of the histories surrounding their ancestry and current way of life, in which has previously been stripped from them. Sabir has challenged TMZ to counter this matter and awaits a potential visit on the show, whether in person or via telephone response. It is unknown whether they will respond or not.

The Power of Viral strikes yet again! Many people still doubt the effect of Internet Marketing and Social for businesses and brands. NEVER underestimate the Power of Viral!

If you have been scrolling Facebook for these last two days, you have probably have witnessed a feed full of content surrounding the George Zimmerman case. Most of these statuses have responded to the witness testimony of Rachel Jeantel, the friend of Trayvon Martin who witnessed the whole situation leading up to his murder via telephone call.

Through all the comments and remarks about her speech, appearance and action, as being questioned by George Zimmerman’s defense attorney, you also see people asking where they can also tune-in to witness the trial, themselves.

Here, you see the Power of Viral take effect, as people are directed to multiple streaming outlets via the Internet and/or local television stations. While people are dissecting this young girl’s character, no matter how much older she looks than she truly is, these web outlets are receiving new traffic and converting awareness to long-term consumers (provided their content is “sticky”) across the United States.

For the past few days, I have witnessed solely Orlando residents speaking about the case and making comments about the “star witness.” Today, I am watching friends in California, Pittsburgh, New York — and even London — speaking about the case and inquiring where to find it Online so that they can join in this “what-has-now-become-social” event. It’s interesting how widespread the case has become, and even more, the content of it.

Together, we are watching the live streaming trial. Many of us may never be watching anything simultaneously again (other than sports)! However, we all will continue to share in the conversation in real-time based on what we are witnessing.

Many people are at work at the moment, and they still watch via mobile or Internet. Many cannot watch it now, but they will follow through to the websites, suggested by friends, for archived streams. Referrals are the most trusted form of Brand Awareness and what leads to effective Viral Marketing. Referrals by friends and family members are trusted over referrals by a company that stands to “make a buck or two” over it.

Orlando is known for some of the most intense cases. Unfortunately, the “in-demand” material is highly sought after, and people are critically watching and speaking. Can the Power of Viral damage the “City of Orlando” brand through this, or can it show the world that “If you mess up in Orlando, you shall be dealt with?”

Does content like this continue to heighten racial tension? Maybe it helps detract it a bit. Why? Because while there are some racists joining into the conversation, Social Conversation can “combat negative reactions.”

People can speak on matters of the heart and society. Stereotypes can be broken, leaving stereotyped remarks left to “look stupid.” While many are downplaying the character of this young girl, it gives them the “go ahead” to speak freely about a stereotypical character that continues to portray a mainstream “ideal” of certain groups of people. Others grouped in this category are proving these ideals wrong! So, while her character has brought in traffic to these streams and opened a negative conversation, positive results may take place from it within our world.

As I write this article and listen to the live feed, I hear a segment about Social Media by one of WFTV Orlando’s Legal Analysts, Bill Sheaffer (who is also an Attorney), speak about Social Media. I am unable to play back the direct quote. So, I apologize if it isn’t an exact quote and/or a bit out of order, but he states (and I think it is important to add):

“Social Media is always there. It’s a new world… with an emphasis on the importance of Social Media… Going back to the Casey Anthony case… her home computer was a vital piece of evidence in the case with her daughter. Twitter wasn’t back then what it is now, recording every moment of our daily lives. Even when deleted, it is always there. You can’t just scrub it away…”

And, this content always stands the chance of becoming viral in our World, just as it has for Rachel Jeantel.

A Marketer’s Nightmare: Content Block

You’re in between projects. Now is the time to beef up your own Social Presences. You are so used to putting your own projects to the side while working on client material…most of which are your own ideas. But, when it comes to your own presence, your own content, your own projects… NOTHING.

You try, you try, you try and still — you come up with nothing. Content block!

It’s a Marketer’s Nightmare, and we all surely go through it! It’s like you work on these amazing projects for others. Many of which, we can’t show anyone due to Non-Disclosure Agreements, and we feel the need to go above and beyond THAT when it comes to our own projects. We become so caught up in it, perfectionists even, that we either never finish or we struggle, trying to create the next masterpiece. There is hope!

Try these simple but POWERFUL steps in jogging the mind into the proper direction. If you’re like me, you hate idle time that will never come back. Use these activities to benefit your Social Presence and help find direction and an insight to what your audience is even “in the mood” for.

Afterall, we MARKET not ADVERTISE… Let’s make them REALIZE the NEED not TRICK them into WANTING something useless.

In taking part in an activity or two, your mind should be clear. You should have some fresh content that you can use on your own projects or that of future clients. Your content delivery being noticed by audiences has benefited your brand. SEO, through your content, has enhanced your efforts, and you now have new ideas to work with to ensure the evolution of a successful and healthy brand! In whatever you do, good luck doing it!

1. Brainstorm Session

A good ol’ brainstorm session! Write down ideas, search your mind. Get a team and make it all the better! What you don’t use now, you can use later. Make sure you type up all ideas and elaborate upon the ones you select. These ideas will help you with a plethora of future events. Cherish this moment and have much fun! Never let your ideas intimidate you! No idea is too big. And, nothing is impossible!

2. Memes

We have all seen them on Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. They grab the attention of audiences through advice, tips, tricks, ideas, jokes, inspirations, etc. Why not create a few of your own? Grab hold of new audiences and gain new likes and boosts in SEO capabilities for your related presence. Due to shares, your direct page should be shared by onlookers everywhere. Have those Memes marked with your web address, as well, and gain the attention of curious minds immediately!

3. Fun with Trends

This is one of my favorite things to do! I love getting involved in conversation and seeing how many “retweets,” “favorites” and replies I get from it! More importantly, I love the followers who begin asking questions about my company and the ROI from it. No investment other than time, but traffic, backlinks, referrals and BUSINESS in return!

And, I mean, how hard is it? Creating jokes and interesting statements based upon trends and relating it to your business? This is definitely a worthwhile “brainwarmer” and stress reliever to get you in mode for some heavy duty business…

4. Self-Education on Unrelated Topics

Have you ever caught yourself working on a project and stuck on what would make that brand unique? Sometimes, a theme and an in-depth knowledge of a theme gives us an awesome outcome, especially if it is related to a specific archetype!


As an Internet Marketer, you probably have been a Consultant for many clients and are always the one doing the teaching. Why don’t you sit back and let someone else teach you? Watch Youtube videos, read conspiracy reports, learn something weird, check out the news! These things may just jog some ideas that will get you back on track …and benefit future client projects, as well!


Don’t forget to write down your ideas and get others captivated in your findings. Show them that you are not just a business, but your brand is a persona and you are human with real-life interests. You may just find niche markets and leaders that can pave the way to new approaches and ways of doing things.

5. Network and Get Out!

Networking and enjoying an adventure or two will lead you into so many new directions and develop your mind to understand public interests, as the World is always changing. You experience new things. You can meet new people that will spark new interests for you. New ideas can generate through collaboration. Doors can be opened for new possibilities and in taking barriers from your life. What is even better, you can enjoy yourself.

You get to de-stress. You can free your mind and clear it to start from scratch. Did you ever think that maybe these “blockage” periods force us into just laying around, watching TV and ultimately clearing our minds without a second thought? Because once your client puts that need in your face, ideas are pumping through your veins! So, get out! Conversate. Have fun!

6. Landing Pages

Truly who likes creating Landing Pages? But, guess what?! They are the keys to our success. They are also ways we can do things a little different with our brand, especially if linking into a corporate site. So, why not have fun with it?

You want to build something new, exciting, maybe innovative as well, right? Then, go ahead… design away! And, make it useful. The impact of each campaign depends on it.

7. New Ways to Monetize

We are constantly finding new ways to monetize when we are working with clientele, whether it is through products and services that we create or through research in finding ways to promote their products. There are so many ways to monetize items through free distribution that it is almost ridiculous!

People want free. If you give them free, they will find it worthwhile to take a peek!

This is one way to convert a consumer into a customer and be paid for it. How are we paid for it? The answer isn’t always easy, but a few ways to do it are through sponsors, advertisements, cross-promotions, etc.

Do some research, find some new methods of monetization that haven’t been touched yet. Implement your findings into your own brand. Make money… and give me some of it!

8. Spy on Competition and Fortune 500 Companies

I don’t mean to literally spy, although if you’re bold enough… How I mean to spy is to look into the Web, Social and Referral Presences of your competition. Look at their Marketing, their Design, their SEO. What can you do better than they can? What are they doing better? Can you implement it and fine-tune it to fulfill your brand’s needs in advancing in the marketplace?

9. Get Inspired

Read articles. Read books. Heck, read Memes! Go outside and smell the fresh air, taste a new cuisine. Whatever you do, embrace it. Find inspiration.

Keep your mind pumping and ideas sprouting in your mind.

Each and everything you experience, you must learn to make it your own. How can you incorporate enjoyable details into your brand in creating fresh content?

10. Backlinks and Other SEO

You have time. You can’t think of anything fresh. Anything you may create through forced creativity may end up very unaesthetic and unappealing to the eye. It may seem rushed if it is a text deliverable.

So, go ahead. Go to work. Create backlinks.

Point people in the direction of your brand’s presence and web site. You have nothing to lose! Maybe you will see something on your mission that allows you new insight!

12. Ask an “Elder (not necessarily in the same industry)”

Ask a Veteran in the World of Marketing or the Business World, in general, what they have done and have accomplished in their career. Ask how they did it. Learn from them. Bounce ideas off of them. Speak to them on the topics of life and people. Then talk to your elders.

These people may not even be in-tune with the World of Business. But, ask them about their likes and dislikes. Ask them things that attracted their attention to brands over the years and converted them into customers. Ask their favorite brands, why they like the brands and how they were attracted to them. This is a bonding time.

Allow an elder to shine through you. They know what they are talking about. They give a perspective that not many consider valuable. It might not be a “fresh” outlook, but it isn’t an every-day-run-of-the-mill practice, either! They might even have some ideas, but they feel they need a “fresher” face to produce it for them. You never know until you ASK!

13. Doodle

Ever been on the phone or in a class and led to doodle random thoughts, phrases and imagery? Try it now that you are older and have a brand to grow!

Call someone that you haven’t spoken to in a long time. Catch up!

14. Engage in Conversation

Make your Social Presence personal! Conversate with your audience. Find out their likes and dislikes, wants, needs, thoughts. Get them involved in the brand’s future. Keep them talking to and about your brand. As interesting as this is, I actually get more business through my “personal” pages than my business pages. The trick is to be personal without being too personal at all! Show life and that you are human!

Create chemistry It’s all about relationships, so build! Bring that empire to life. And, allow those who support you make history at your side!

15. Speak to your Camera

We can never find time to make these Vlogs (Video Blogs) that everyone would rather watch than read information on. To boot, we aren’t always in our best shape. Let’s take advantage of this time.

Go in your closet, pull out some nice clothes. Get dressed and “made” up. Sit down at your computer, and hit record!

Speak about your journey, your successes, tips and tricks, ventures, clients, projects, ANYTHING. Inform your audience, entertain them… show them the face behind the brand… behind the movement! Then, use these videos to keep audiences captivated and interested in what your brand has to offer them!

16. Fun with Photos

As Marketers who write, create mood boards, need backgrounds, create content, need to get our point across, we always need photos… the more unique, the better. The less we have to pay for royalties, the better.

So, let’s get on a jacket, grab a book bag, fill it with goodies and a camera with extra batteries… and start shooting!

Take pictures of every and anything. Keep in mind your audiences, and try to create content that will be shared or liked! Don’t forget to take pictures of architecture, events and people. Memories are everything. Nostalgia is in demand. And people… they love looking at themselves. So, click away and tag them later!

17. Mood “Boreds”

I know, it’s “mood board,” but you can do this if you are bored! Go out! Collect actual fabrics, textures, objects, colors. Cut out newspaper and magazine clippings. Get out your crayons, pastels, watercolors and do some exploration. Come up with a Rebranding Strategy, a Campaign, a Facelift, or some cool ideas for future projects!

Mood Boards are fun. They unlock the inner youth… our innocence… our imaginations. Open your mind, and unblock that brain!

18. Start a “Spin-Off”

You have found many new ways to capitalize from and monetize your content. You have found something in common. Is it time for a “Spin-Off” brand? How does it help your current brand?

Link Wheels are now generating spokes that will now build their own Link Pyramids under them! You can create backlinks to each other, cross-promote each other amongst audiences, draw together totally different audiences and recycle cool content!

Maximize your potential through this chance to start a spin-off. After all, wasn’t it your dream, growing up, to in some way take over the World? Why not start now to build your empire? The content created will link two-ways, or three, or four, in generating ongoing interest, positive SEO efforts, and give more content to each brand!

19. Write About Your Experiences and Knowledge

Whether creating a website, blog, resume, autobiography for use on various platforms or even writing for an Online periodical, make sure you are recording your experiences. You can always create content. But, who is recording your footprint upon the earth for your legacy and future generations?

On another note, it builds your expertise in the eyes of audiences. It shows you know what you are talking about. It gives you credibility. Who is selling you to new and future clientele?

Recommendations are everything, especially if a finger can be pointed on a point of interest… especially if you are a marketer who does a lot of work under Non-Disclosure. If you have already done so, go back and read it. Pay attention to your growth and create new goals for the future!

20. Fine-tune and Enhance Current Content

What better time than now to go back and enhance, reorganize and fine-tune your current content database? Make your content work for you. Analyze each piece and find out what works and doesn’t work for it. Shoot, you might just find a better way to do your current daily practice amongst your own presence and that of clientele?

Now Trending: #iDontLikeWhen. Thanks, Twitter! I am now free to rant as a Marketing Professional and Columnist! Shoot, I may even spark up a little controversy! This sounds fun!

If you have been involved with Marketing or any related industry, I’m sure you have heard this line before.“Oh, my cousin can do my Facebook for me…” They go on to say how easy it is to do, but are disappointed at the results and let it ruin their outlook on Marketing overall!

One of the greatest pet peeves that many Internet Marketers face is amongst the people we target for business.

As the greatest common denominator amongst us, we frequently see people doing their own marketing (or having a cousin do it) and doing it very wrong. Their messaging is off, their demographics aren’t set, their frequency is either too often or not enough… and they aren’t really marketing at all.

Too many people try to be “Jack of All Trades,” but then they really become the “Master of None.” We need you to focus on the service or product so that we can sell it, consume it, and then brag about this great product we have just consumed! And, honestly, would you let your “Cousin Jack” be your lawyer if your life depended on it? So, why would you leave your brand at risk?

An Internet Marketing Plan is so very important to your brand’s overall well being. If you insist on doing your own marketing, at least hire a professional to map out your course of action. Because, the next thing I’m about to say can and most likely will happen…

PET PEEVE #2 of almost every marketing expert in the World!

The second greatest pet peeve of Internet Marketing professionals is this: “I have done marketing for my product, done the Social Media thing, I used SEO on my page, and it isn’t effective and worth my time or money.” There are so many things wrong with that statement alone. But, this is a common statement. They try to show they have a know-how of what they are doing. But, really they don’t. They only have an idea, based on what they have seen in white sheets and Facebook posts by actual firms.

You see, so many people engage in marketing that was either done wrong, they received no returns, or did it so wrong it and hurt their brand. Without knowing how to create, distribute and market that content to benefit you, engage in social conversation that generates interest in your brand, and other important elements related to Brand Awareness with conversions, you just won’t convert! You also need to act as a Brand Ambassador and deflect negativity from your brand’s reputation, research competitors, analyze gathered information on your brand and its competitors, and redefine your plan of action as you go!

“WOW! THIS is only the beginning!”

#ToBeHonest, there are too many people doing too many similar things these days. You can’t just go in blindly! No one is immune. I hate to say it, but even the Internet Marketing industry is saturated. Then again, how many of those are truly marketers and how many of those only claim this title, because they do a little bit here and there for their family and friends?

Last but MOST CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, “Cheapskate Louie…” Pet Peeve #3 is he!

Because there is so much competition, this fact is held over our heads quite frequently. “Louie” is the man who doesn’t know ANYTHING about technology or others (or he is just a seasoned con artist), and he has an incredibly huge ego! Instead of researching those who he is interested in doing business with, he would rather harass them on their credentials and degrade them in thinking that he will get a discount.

Many times these professionals have worked on high profile campaigns. And once enough is enough, the professional will decline business from Louie, who more than likely has tried to encourage unethical business, the “con of FREE work” and things like this.

Louie, furious, will then try to soil the reputation of the professional who has done everything right …and maybe even a little free work for him… simply because he didn’t get his way!

Luckily for the professionals, his attempts won’t even leave a dent into their master plan, because these types of clientele are avoided! Sourface Louie is now left all by his lonesome self.

While only three pet peeves are given, I was enticed by the trend on Twitter to create this “Marketers Rant.” Fellow Marketers, you are not alone. Be inspired by these events to come with a better pitch in selling your service to those who will truly benefit.

And, listen, this message is to EVERYONE in EVERY industry: NEVER let someone take advantage of your or your business.

In fact, the more boundaries you set up, the more professional you show that you are. They are more than likely to do business with you than if you do tons of free work that detracts from your own bill payments, house payments and diet. They can trust you won’t let anyone push you around when it comes to their product.

People will always try to take advantage. People will always have excuses. People will always have misunderstandings. If things aren’t working well for you, just change your approach. People will listen when you make them want to. But, explaining without an open ear is just a waste of your own time and will discourage you from your true talent. #IDontLikeWhen this happens. And you might not like it, either. But, this is part of business and part of everyday life!

The Power of Viral takes front row in History!

Yesterday’s loss of the grandson of historical icon and leader, Malcolm X, has already become part of History, Controversy, Conspiracy, and even Viral Conversation throughout the Internet. Malcolm Shabazz, 28, was murdered Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Tijuana, Mexico.

While “no one knows” who killed him or “why,” Shabazz felt it was coming and explained the process of assassination in which no one would care to ask questions. In an Online record that is currently circulating Facebook with a “RIP Malcolm” photo attached, he explained, in his own words, how he was constantly being harassed and forced to keep a distance from loved ones, not disclosing information to them… in addition to a plethora of other interesting details in his life.

Much of these details highlighted media defamation of his character and crimes that he claimed to have been “cornered” into accepting blame for.

Much earlier this month, an audio recorded “open letter” to Pope John Paul II from 1998 began its recirculation in the midst of a new addition to an FBI Most Wanted List. Assata Shakur has been named a terrorist by the United States and marked with a $1 million dollar reward for her capture. The open letter is circulating the Internet, speaking in defense of actions that “set her on the run” and in what seems to be self-defense.

Similar to Shabazz, we are able to get another side of the story and paint a much clearer picture of what happened that led up to the incident.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have Christopher Dorner, who was allegedly burnt alive in a cabin fire atop a California mountain chain. It is to be noted that Dorner personally placed a “manifesto” onto his Facebook page explaining his motives and reasonings of events that were to come in latter days. This manifesto was widely spread on the net, even after his Facebook page had been shut down. This, alongside mass murders, led to a manhunt of suspected “cop killer” who was now on the loose and had a distinct vendetta with an extreme plan of action.

Here, we have three situations in which Social Media has given another side of the story. Generally, once a person becomes a fugitive, is murdered or placed into imprisonment, we hear nothing else about the topic, unless it is false or sensationalized by media outlets who are in search of higher ratings. Social Media has allowed these pieces to go viral and for us to become familiar with another side of the story.

Whether or not these contents are genuine and/or truthful, a deeper look into the situation and a furthered understanding can take place in the face of an audience, who would otherwise scorn an innocent person, rather than understand what went wrong and why. And, such is the case on frequent occasions.

Because of the “Power of Viral,” we have found many lost persons, located dangerous villains, reunited loved ones (even pets), freed hostages, petitioned wrongdoings, petitioned action in situations where many have been given the cold shoulder by corrupt agencies, and many more situations that have brought about a positive change in the lives of the human race. In fact, many continue to hand over the “Power of Attorney” of intellectual property and private information to be posted Online by trusted friends and family in the event that something should happen to them, as is the case of Malcolm Shabazz who had to purposely distance himself from those he cared about most in this world.

Not only has the Power of Viral aided the lives of individuals in trouble, but it has also benefitted causes and Nations in finding hope for the future. In Iran and Israel, an accidental “peace campaign” once took place that united members of each enemy territory with others of the opposing territory. This campaign took place when citizens of Israel posed for “Israel loves Iran” posters, in which were sent to Iran via “social,” as Iran did the same to Israel.

“Everyday people” had posed for these posters and placed them on social networks in “free speech” to the opposition of the political choices to go to war. It was rumored to cause an accidental movement of peace between the nations who have been in direct warfare for over a decade.

On the contrary, viral content has created a means for truth to be spread during cases of all-out warfare, in which “outside” territories claim it to be in total civil war. Those who are living the horror are actually able to report “hands-on” and “breaking” information and enemy locations, such as through GPS, photos and video. These items are also beneficial in convicting war criminals of the heinous acts that they commit.

Syrian Truth and Syrian Democratic Future has “outed” many traitors and terrorists on their Facebook Pages, while distributing graphic content that keeps the World aware of real-life terror taking place daily in Syria, in hopes of creating a positive change within it. They stand for the voice of Syria and in gathering allies around the globe to commit to putting bullies in their place.

While the aim is not to market negative aspects of the real world, the Power of Viral takes the front row in making and recording history in the 21st Century. The goal is to distribute information, whether through Word of Mouth or via search engines. Organic SEO results take place through content distribution and Viral Marketing through shares and views. Information is being spread and people are being made aware of corruption and terror.

Can we use this concept to bring about actual change and peace in the future? Or, will this ability be taken from us in the future due to misinformation by those who will learn to use Viral for their own selfish purposes?

In time, we shall see. For now, let’s make the best of it with open eyes and open minds!
