How and why Shorty Produkshins is shifting gears in 2016

Shorty Produksins is Internet Marketing Orlando. Brand Social.

As many of you must know, the face of SEO and Internet Marketing is rapidly changing. It’s been almost ten years since we completely evolved into a marketing company. True, we still made music clean up into 2010, but this was done through subsidiary, Shorty’s Playground, after splitting into two separate entities in 2007.

Shorty Produkshins has prided itself on keeping ahead of the competition by being early adopters and evolving our services to meet the needs of our growing audiences. We started as that tiny little studio, consisting of a computer and a closet, and delivered many phases to our most avid supporters. Many of you remember our plaza location and our studio suites. As time evolved and industries became saturated, we evolved. Shorty Produkshins has always given the audiences a “new era in royalty” through this constant growth.

In 2013, we celebrated 10 official years. Innovation and specialization came from the demand of our most prestigious clientele — those allowed to be named and those under NDA. We focused more on our abilities on “streaming,” graphic design, social branding, public relations and event marketing. We also continued to be one of the first to deliver mobile technologies to smaller brands — something we had been doing since around 2010.

Then, rules of event marketing changed.

We once packed audiences to the point they wrapped around blocks to get into our venues. We packed venues so full, people would leave just because there were too many people there. Mixtape release parties often found they didn’t have enough products to hand out to their audiences. We even contributed to many of our larger clientele in having the largest audiences they ever had in their annual events.

Soon, everyone started to adopt the same marketing plan. And, those rules really apply any more. And, let’s face it, if the client has a smaller budget, there is a limit to what can be done in competing against venues with holographs, strippers and free drinks all night long. More focus went on Public Relations, Streaming Shows and Social Branding. Shorty Produkshins soared throughout the latter half of 2014 and on through 2015 by directing attention to where it was most effective!

Focused on the media, owner, Jessica N. Abraham began growing closer ties with many of the media platforms she worked for over the years. She began to realize that these media ties were great in supporting her public relations clientele. With over 16 years of expertise in social branding, this service was only going to be enhanced by combining services with those of the public relations sector. And, then… Shorty Produkshins would change forever!

While we have been engaging in content marketing since around 2001, many companies have realized how effective it actually is. They are beginning to realize the importance of owning a blog and regularly adding content to their websites. They are learning how impactful social shares can be. And, even Google has changed their algorithms to reflect this ideal. Because so many black hat operations have ruined innocent SEO initiative, Google’s new algorithms began focusing more on social impact and content than on anything else.

At Shorty Produkshins, we have already “been there, done that.” We have already done the “expert guest” thing, too. But, what of all of it coming full circle? As a content powerhouse, we are scaling our methods for our clientele in delivering Online and Offline promotions where they matter the most, making them an expert in their field and allowing them to monetize all platforms.

As IT companies are shifting towards all-in-one integrations that promote “productivity, collaboration and communication,” we are enhancing our internal productions, partnering more frequently and communicating to our audiences more. We are making them part of our endeavors. We aren’t just making them part of the conversation, we are making them the conversation. While we will still cater to clientele directly, we are shifting our focus to the community.

We have always dedicated ourselves to the underdog. We made it our mission to serve independent artists, brands and causes. We made it our mission to give audiences something to consume. But, everyone is doing that now. Why be like everyone else?

We have built clout (and Klout) over the years. You have been faithful to us, and we are grateful for that. We have come with a new plan of action in serving you… the everyday person.  In 2016, we shift gears to the community. We shift gears to return the support. In order to continue creating opportunities for you, we must keep evolving us!

In the past, you may have noticed long periods of time that our websites weren’t even finished. This is because we focused on our client’s work, pushing our own work to the back burner. Over the last 13 years, we have been a mostly referral-based company. Our clients speak on our behalf, as they return for more. Our clients have even given us permanent positions within their own companies.

In supporting our past, our existing and our future clientele… in supporting our followers, our lurkers, our true fans… in supporting the customers of our clientele… and in supporting the community, it is time to focus on us… Our true mission.

If you ask Mrs. Abraham-Hogan what makes her continue to do what she does with Shorty Produkshins, she will tell you that it is all the support and loyalty she has gained over the years. It is her hope to create a balance between genuine customer service, the people and humanity.

As society corrupts, she feels a duty in giving the people hope for change. As innovation explodes, she loves being the first to tell you (it’s probably the little kid in her)… As misinformation is spread, she wants to be sure people are educated. She wants to help a young generation succeed and small businesses stay open. She wants to see people reach their full potential and to be a helping hand.

With 2016, it’s not just a new beginning, it’s a chance for transformation… metamorphosis in branding social… And, we just want you to pay attention as we begin to unveil our plan of action over these next few months…. You will NOT be disappointed. Because, you are the reason for it all!

Hashtag MoorishLivesMatter: The social media movement towards an awakening

The Sabir Bey Show | #MoorishLivesMatter

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED TO EXAMINER

In an era of hashtags and memes, it is somewhat more effective to create a social campaign surrounding a hashtag in order to promote your cause to the World than it is to send out brochures and e-mails, promoting your cause. Statements made through hashtags on Social media are more personable this way.

People are able to connect to those with similar interest by simply clicking hashtag phrases for similar conversational results. Or, they may understand an unfamiliar phrase in a more in-depth matter. These statements are short and simple. They are able to speak their mind in few or minimal words.

In many instances, hashtags actually work as a silent protest and petition. They act to connect users in conversation surrounding issues in their communities or lifestyle. Some hashtags actually gain interest based on the “support” they receive by the social networks that host them.

Take Twitter, for example, they use trending topics to continue social conversation in their system platform. In representing a specific cause or movement, hashtags are simply a way to take a stand, state your opinion and gain awareness while branding a cause with more information. It is a new era. It is our era!

Today, December 23, 2014, representatives of The Sabir Bey Show on LA Talk Live spoke with Examiner about their current “#MoorishLivesMatter” campaign that has been taking over conscious communities around the World. While not as widespread overseas as it is in the United States and Canada, there is a growing interest in this movement, as seen in Europe, Africa and even Australia by many who are aware of their Moorish heritage and decent, especially in the wake of current racial tensions in the US.

Regardless of TMZs ignorance of the Divine Moorish Nation and the misrepresentation in the media and courtrooms of the community, awakened Moorish Americans thrive in numbers, continuing the traditions, practices, ideologies and sciences of their ancestry that was once hidden from them. The problem is that many Moors, today, still do not know who or what they truly are. In fact, those who call themselves “Black” or “Colored,” are doing themselves and their families injustices by not knowing who they truly are. That’s what the #MoorishLivesMatter campaign aims to rectify in educating the masses of their direct origins and rich histories that were stolen from them through unconstitutional highjacking of the law and domestic terrorism that plagues our neighborhoods today.

Many Americans today do not realize that Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and John Adams had to sign a treaty with the Sultan of Morocco, Muhamad III, called The Treaty of Peace and Friendship, in order to establish the United States within America’s borders in 1786 and 1787 — The United States, being a trade partner with Morocco and publicly recognized first by the Sultan and then the rest of the World. They do not realize that George Washington’s “cherry tree” was a metaphor for the Moroccan flag of red and green or that The United States Constitution was actually based on Moorish Laws and Principles, as well as Islamic beliefs!

They do not realize that the Moors were the reason Europe became a civilized continent or that they created means for education, language, plumbing and just about every important part of our everyday life! Worst of all, they do not know that the Moors were here before Columbus set sail to the Americas and not all persons with melanated skin came here because of slavery! These are only basic points of interest, but they are important in realizing the dehumanization of a people and the domino effect of human rights violations on today’s communities.

Many people in society say that racism does not exist. They say that slavery has been over for 200 years, but they fail to realize that segregation, hate crimes in the forms of hanging and burning of flourishing cities and the monsterization placed by the media still exist today in some form or fashion, while formally being “ended” less than a century ago. Let’s try less than 50 years ago! They refuse to see that terrorism exists in the World by many authorities. But, what makes it worse, is that “terrorists” can legally get away with it.

#MoorishLivesMatter, as opposed to the popular hashtag #BlackLivesMatter is more meaningful and more likely to make change than the previous. The goal is awareness. Lessons of History, Civics and Law teach knowledge that has been unrealized.

By hiding true histories of bloodlines and dumbing down society, there is a lack of knowledge of the law. And while the Supreme Court has recently ruled out the need for the police to know the law when arresting you, there is no excuse for ignorance of the law. And, it is just that that has created an ongoing cycle of war crimes from physical to mental warfare. While slavery has been over by law, it is the same law that keeps the same people who claim to be descendants of slavery “chattel property.”

Laws and rights of Aboriginal and Indigenous people are very separate from those who are not of the land. It is based on Common Law. They abide by the laws of the land but are not held in the jurisdiction of the Nation who is creating those laws. Because the United States formed through the immigration of European settlers, their laws are separate from those of the people who were here before them.

Treaties in US law verify this and establish these boundaries. Some have worked hard, however, to find loopholes around them, including the creation of certificates to hold people as property, as well as laws that require these people to blindly accept alternative contracts in order to obtain rights given to them in exchange for their contract.

In the case of those who have the belief that they are crayons, based on the thirteenth amendment, they fail to realize that they are only counted as ⅗ of a person in law and are not entitled to anything unless given through process. Using the hashtag #MoorishLivesMatter, one will see the Dred Scott Case being referenced, whereas between the years of 1847 and 1858, Dred Scott fought for his freedom only to be denied by the Supreme Court that ruled out that his “blackness” meant he could never become a true citizen of the United States.

This is strengthened through knowledge of legal jargon (This can be referenced in Black’s Law Dictionary 4th edition and earlier.), whereas “Black” references “CIVILITER MORTUUS (walking dead)” in law and “White” basically means “free and legal status.” If you are dead, you have no rights.

As a matter of fact, #MoorishLivesMatter will also bring up term results for an immigration law that still holds effect today. This law is the Naturalization Act of 1790 that states that “Free White Persons” are not necessarily Caucasian and that those of Moorish descent are also “white” in law. This means that there is a nation to back them in the time of turmoil on this land, whereas there is no country called “Black” or “Africa.”

#MoorishLivesMatter often asks, “Which country in Africa are you from, if you are African American? And, which country in America are you from?” They discuss how these continents are made up of many countries. When there are two nations in dispute, the United Nations may then become a mediator. When there are not two nations, the UN cannot interfere. This is one way much injustice is done on American soil, soil previously known as North West Amexem or Al-Moroc.

#MoorishLivesMatter intends to be a trend that creates awareness and saves lives, while creating opportunities for our future generations, predicted by the Prophet Noble Drew Ali to “come in with their eyes wide open, seeing and knowing” the truths of the land. It was Noble Drew Ali who brought this information to the attention of many in the 1920s in hopes of “uplifting fallen humanity” through the five “divine” principles of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom and Justice, which are also symbolized in the five points of the green star in the Moorish American flag.

#MoorishLivesMatter reminds us that there is a unity to uphold and that many who consider themselves of the European race are actually of Moorish Descent, including Sicilians, Spanish, Irish and French persons.

There is often a misunderstanding that Moorish people are of Muslim origin, while it is true that many were and are. Even Noble Drew Ali stressed that first man must find his religious creed to establish spirituality with his creator, but only to find “Self-Knowledge, Self-Realization and Self-Revelation” and that this is the route to creating the perfected man. This is how unity is understood through multiple bloodlines of Moorish Origin, as well as the several different religious practices of all in this community.

#MoorishLivesMatter shares the same topics and subject matter as its originator, The Sabir Bey Show, bringing “Pure Edu-tainment” to the lives of weekly viewers in over 180-countries around the Globe!

While a collaborative of participants throughout the week, #MoorishLivesMatter is a hashtag that is most active on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30PM Est on TheSabirBeyShow.com or at various places for “LA Talk Live” listening platforms, such as Tunein Radio, Live365 and Roku Streaming Video Players. The host of the show is Sabir Bey, a title (not a name) meaning “Patient Governor” or “Patient Teacher (depending on who is translating it).” Co-hosts include, Pilar Biggers Sanders Love El-Dey, Alberto Gaytan El, Salvador Dey, Shakim Williams and Carl Gilkey. Occasionally, the team is joined by Krysten Littles, Astrologer for The Cosmo Report.

Understanding that Black History is only a portion of Moorish History will lead you to an understanding that whether you are “So-Called Black,” “Hispanic,” “Middle Eastern,” “Native American” or any other “race” of melanated people, you are all family and from the same Asiatic and African roots. This is what the #MoorishLivesMatter Movement teaches Tweeters, Facebookers and Surfers all over the World!

Happy Birthday, Shorty Produkshins!: Orlando Internet Marketing Company now 10!

Shorty Produkshins IS Shorty Productions | Brand Social.

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED ON EXAMINER

In the last ten years, we have seen a dramatic shift in the way we do business, use technology and how we view the Entertainment Industry. According to CNN Money, those working from home, both self-employed (usually as an Independent Contractor) and working for an employer, has risen 41% in this decade, alone.

Everyone relies on technology to accomplish their work and career goals. They want to work more effectively, have more freedoms and time to spend elsewhere, while achieving the largest ROI margins possible for their employer and towards self-benefit. The Entertainment Industry shares this similar story, simultaneous, with innovative technologies leading to the saturation of Independent Artists and home studios.

Like smaller businesses, these artists are gaging expanding fan bases and gaining larger profits than in the past, especially those who were once signed to a “Major” and had to pay everyone else before collecting their own profits.

With such a drastic change in how business is done and how we operate, we see many opportunities for great success. The downside to success, however, is that with it comes struggle and opportunity to fail. One must “get with the program” or fall behind. And, quite unfortunately, just “getting with the program” isn’t enough anymore and one must actually strive to stay ahead of the game in order to avoid “just getting by.”

Competitors exist. And, so do a million other businesses unrelated to each other. Brand Awareness is a must, and Social Branding is becoming more and more of a necessity than a demand in today’s world. Enter Shorty Produkshins.

Shorty Produkshins is an Online Promotions Company, specializing in Social Branding and Event Marketing via Advanced Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactic. For the past 10 years, Shorty Produkshins has evolved into the brand that it is today through the always-changing trends in industry, technology — and of course — demand. This month marks exactly that. This is the 10th-year Anniversary of Shorty Produkshins.

According to Robert Greene, an award-winning author, in his latest book “The Mastery,” it takes us ten years of repetitive practice, research and fine-tuning of one particular subject in order to find mastery in it. This timespan can be increased or decreased based upon intensity, depth and acceleration in the practices and execution of the subject matter.

Shorty Produkshins has started from the bottom and knows first hand what each and every one of their clients are facing along the way, no matter the subtle differences due to separate industries.

Shorty Produkshins started in a weird, yet interesting way. In 2001, founder, Jessica N. Abraham, was to implement a passion of hers into a graduation project for High School. Her passion at the time was MUSIC, nothing more and nothing less, as she engaged with it all her life.

In preplanning for the project, a CD Demo, she came into understanding that most Record Labels wouldn’t accept unsolicited submissions and take them seriously (if at all). Hence, the birth of “Shorty Productions.” Short Productions was a fictitious name given to a fictitious company that would lend credibility to “LiL Shorty,” otherwise known as Jessica N. Abraham.

This demo brought forth a lot of inspiration, inquiry and success, contrary to the actual “skills” that the artist had. At age 15, she still had a lot of musical training to go through before being impressive to ears.

In early 2003, the graduation project and results from distribution were presented in front of a panel. The years in between were spent researching, recording, releasing music Online (before there were means to do so), bringing Brand Awareness to potential and converted fans, networking and seeking honest feedback on the project …all done through early Internet Marketing practices!

The outcome was the inspiration to continue this process as an actual lifelong career.

At age 17, Jessica N. Abraham enrolled in a college in Orlando, FL for Recording Arts and the sciences behind it. At the time, Full Sail University was the top college for Recording Arts and “Real World Education” on an International level.

Migrating from Pennsylvania to Florida, Jessica soon met others that shared her passion for the Music Business. Some of these people were also students at Full Sail, while others were not. This was the beginning of “Shorty Produkshins” and the first year of business… as an established business… yielding many successful releases overseas in the form of Mixtapes and Compilations.

Over the years, and as with any company, there were many milestones and successes. But, there were also challenges. Shorty Produkshins, once an actual record label with a public studio attached (dubbed “Shorty’s Playground” by late-rapper, Demarreo “D-Mo” Matthews), was confronted with a new reality check.

While many studios were closing doors, Shorty’s Playground had been doing pretty well with a new location in New Kensington, PA and business still taking place in Orlando. The reality, however, was that more and more home studios were popping up all over the place, and the average person doesn’t care about quality. The reality was that it was now a rarity to sell instrumental “beats” for more than $1000, unlike it was in the past. Actually, it was more than likely an amount to be less than $100 and 25-50% of that isn’t much considering how much work had to be put in to sell and transfer the rights to this music.

People were giving away free music and free beats. And, a plethora of “so-called” producers arose all over.

Jessica N. Abraham, in returning to the drawing board, desperately trying to keep her company successful and in business, decided drastic changes need to be made. Paying attention to the fact that Shorty Produkshins had been in demand for the care they gave to their artists and producers and “side-services” requested by clients, Jessica N. Abraham decided that a majority of this success actually was due to the Internet Marketing and Public Relations-type work executed within the company.

Engaging in a writing project for a subsidiary of Universal Music Group and Murphy Boyz Entertainment, Sand Street Music (home of Burn N Bush’s Newton Twins, who have worked with multiple award-winning acts), Jessica was asked to promote five summer releases with the company. This was the confirmation Shorty Produkshins was headed in the right direction.

Simultaneously enrolled in Full Sail once again for her first of three Master’s Programs (in Entertainment Business, Internet Marketing, and Media Design), Jessica N. Abraham took Shorty Produkshins and transformed it into a full blown Online Promotions Company.

Within that first year, she had the opportunity of working with other acts, Non-Profit Organizations, colleges, programs, a Social Application for Facebook, a plethora of events and even a recruitment team for models. Shorty Produkshins found itself in demand in not only Orlando, but also Pittsburgh and Atlanta. That was almost six years ago.

It is now the end of 2013, and Shorty Produkshins has been home to multiple acts and Producers that have went on to do “bigger and better things.” The company has worked with many celebrities and parties, venues, festivals and events (often a packed house), small businesses and organizations, causes and charities, athletes and Social Networks. The list just goes on and on.

Shorty Produkshins is home to multiple subsidiaries, including the successful J. Abraham Consultants (a “24/7 Internet Marketing Consultation by Phone” company). And while the road has not been easy, it is one to be celebrated. The company plans to do just that.

Starting this month and continuing until the end of the year, a new product or service will be released every week in order to benefit those in the Entertainment Business or World of Small Business, because it is known how hard you work and it is much appreciated!

Contests and giveaways will also take place, starting at the end of the month and continuing through the new year. Every month, from the twenty-first until the first, Shorty Produkshins offers a “$50 off discount on all graphics.” The month of October, however, marks a month of action, aggression and love for those who work their butts off. A new website, new services, and new content will be released!

Not only will Shorty Produkshins be giving large discounts on services (including Design Strategy, Internet Marketing, Social Branding, Event Marketing, Mobile Marketing and PR), but Shorty Produkshins will also be giving college students the opportunities to jumpstart their careers, gain experience and make a little bit of money, as well!

With shifts in technology, the youth is our largest asset. Sharing this concept with Let’s Be Honest, a new Social Network that pays the youth to speak their mind, Shorty Produkshins is positive that our future generation has the power to do great things early on and to continue through to “A New Era in Royalty.”

Internet Marketing in Action: “The Sabir Bey Show” Season Premiere on October 1

The Sabir Bey Show, Sabir Bey, Hidden Colors, Outta Darkness, Out of Darkness, Universal Zulu Nation, Tariq Nasheed, Moorish American, Canaanland, RV Bey Publications, Taj Tarik Bey, Abdullah Bey, RMC On Air, Roscoes Chicken and Waffles, LA Talk Live, Internet Marketing Orlando, Internet Marketing Los Angeles, Shorty Produkshins, Shorty Productions

Internet Marketing comes in many formats. There are many means of marketing on the web. There isn’t just one specific way. There isn’t even a specific reason that things are marketed on the web. People want Brand Awareness, Viral Sharing of Content, Content Consumption, Monetary Value, List Building, Views, Likes and … even executing Educational Missions.

Today, there are simultaneous feeds of Live Events to the Internet through live video streams. Some people charge for consumption, while others do not. Webinars are surely replacing live seminars due to convenience, usually servicing business people and students.

These are usually for a fee, but some are free in order to market a product or service through them. And even so, more and more people are still turning to the Net for their Entertainment, Education and Business needs. This is why many Social TV Programs and Studios have been “popping up” in the last few years. And, there are many reasons for this.

Niche communities are able to find programming meant specifically for them, minus censorships and the “watering down” of very beneficial and insightful information. They are the ones who control what topics will be covered during a live show. They are able to interact with other viewers around the World, interact with the programming or even come to into contact with the creators, themselves.

Content is usually recorded once it goes live, becomes viral through Social Shares. Niche Sponsors and Advertisers will help to continue the process by “paying the bills” through audience member purchases. The audience member now becomes part of the Brand Story and part of the success that came about in the process.

October 1, 2013, marks the Season Premiere of The Sabir Bey Show on LA Talk Live! “The Sabir Bey Show is ‘Pure EDU-TAINMENT’ tackling issues within the community and on the topics of Law, History, Culture, Politics, Religion, Society, and Health by incorporating TRUE Hip Hop and Urban Music in bringing together a full circle of understanding with current culture and society conflicts.

The Sabir Bey Show includes guest appearances by award-winning celebrities and respected elders of the Moorish Nation and Pan Africanism.” The Sabir Bey Show has the mission of bringing “Pure Edu-tainment” to the lives of many by introducing truths, new concepts, currents events and History through Entertainment.

The Host of the show is Sabir Bey, known for over 15-years in the “Conscious Community,” for his lectures and classes on Civics, Hip Hop, Nationality, History and Etymology. He has toured with Dr. Kaba Kamene, Dr. Leonard Jeffries, Dr. Jose Pimienta-Bey, and multiple figures in the Entertainment Industry.

Sabir Bey appeared in a 2011 film, Hidden Colors, where he speaks on many topics as related to the Moorish origins of today’s population. He appears in many other documentaries and films circulating around the web and businesses throughout the country. He continues to bring education to the masses through the web, using LA Talk Live’s fall lineup to do so. The Producer of the show is Actor, Mel Jackson (“Soul Food”); and the Program Director is Mr. Richard Karr, the owner of LA Talk Live.

Sabir has a team of individuals working with him on a daily basis to create Awareness of his mission, Lectures, Appearances and shows and to accelerate all Internet Marketing efforts. Not surprisingly, however, many of his works have gone viral on their own, as audience members share this content with those that they associate themselves with, whether friends, family, colleagues, or classmates. This information is very informative and educational, so they are passing along something very valuable and meaningful in the process.

The Sabir Bey Show is currently undergoing construction of the Official Website. But, many already access this site regularly, as it is a Social Network dedicated to the show. The site includes a U-Stream Video Player hosted by LA Talk Live and hosts a library of past episodes, including special guests, KRS-One, Tommy Davidson, Mel Jackson, Taj Tarik Bey, Dr. Kaba Kamene, Hawthorne James, Chico Benymon and more!

There are photos of the show, itself, as well as Sabir’s travels and experiences in the public while on tour or giving lectures. The site gives information about the show, including news, blogs and upcoming events.

What Sabir is doing at TheSabirBeyShow.com is very critical in today’s World of Social TV. The show, while also accessible at LATalkLive.com, is given its own “channel” to help aid in Awareness, Brand Monitoring, SEO Efforts, Viral Campaigns, and Consumer Interaction in bringing important information to the lives of those who have lost their true identity in an ever-growing Commercial World. He encourages people to call into the show to prove him wrong, while reminding people that he may just be!

“Bring a pen, tell a friend… But, don’t take my word for it… Study it yourself, and tell me if I’m wrong.” With a team of experts behind him, we can guarantee his Internet Marketing efforts won’t be wrong. Tune into his show, Tuesdays at 3:00 PM (PST) | 6:00 PM (EST) on LATalkLive.com

Power of Viral: Rachel Jeantel takes the stand

Rachel Jeantel, Social Media, Trayvon Martin, Sanford, Florida, Viral, Conversation, Trends, Facebook

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED ON EXAMINER

The Power of Viral strikes yet again! Many people still doubt the effect of Internet Marketing and Social for businesses and brands. NEVER underestimate the Power of Viral!

If you have been scrolling Facebook for these last two days, you have probably have witnessed a feed full of content surrounding the George Zimmerman case. Most of these statuses have responded to the witness testimony of Rachel Jeantel, the friend of Trayvon Martin who witnessed the whole situation leading up to his murder via telephone call.

Through all the comments and remarks about her speech, appearance and action, as being questioned by George Zimmerman’s defense attorney, you also see people asking where they can also tune-in to witness the trial, themselves.

Here, you see the Power of Viral take effect, as people are directed to multiple streaming outlets via the Internet and/or local television stations. While people are dissecting this young girl’s character, no matter how much older she looks than she truly is, these web outlets are receiving new traffic and converting awareness to long-term consumers (provided their content is “sticky”) across the United States.

For the past few days, I have witnessed solely Orlando residents speaking about the case and making comments about the “star witness.” Today, I am watching friends in California, Pittsburgh, New York — and even London — speaking about the case and inquiring where to find it Online so that they can join in this “what-has-now-become-social” event. It’s interesting how widespread the case has become, and even more, the content of it.

Together, we are watching the live streaming trial. Many of us may never be watching anything simultaneously again (other than sports)! However, we all will continue to share in the conversation in real-time based on what we are witnessing.

Many people are at work at the moment, and they still watch via mobile or Internet. Many cannot watch it now, but they will follow through to the websites, suggested by friends, for archived streams. Referrals are the most trusted form of Brand Awareness and what leads to effective Viral Marketing. Referrals by friends and family members are trusted over referrals by a company that stands to “make a buck or two” over it.

Orlando is known for some of the most intense cases. Unfortunately, the “in-demand” material is highly sought after, and people are critically watching and speaking. Can the Power of Viral damage the “City of Orlando” brand through this, or can it show the world that “If you mess up in Orlando, you shall be dealt with?”

Does content like this continue to heighten racial tension? Maybe it helps detract it a bit. Why? Because while there are some racists joining into the conversation, Social Conversation can “combat negative reactions.”

People can speak on matters of the heart and society. Stereotypes can be broken, leaving stereotyped remarks left to “look stupid.” While many are downplaying the character of this young girl, it gives them the “go ahead” to speak freely about a stereotypical character that continues to portray a mainstream “ideal” of certain groups of people. Others grouped in this category are proving these ideals wrong! So, while her character has brought in traffic to these streams and opened a negative conversation, positive results may take place from it within our world.

As I write this article and listen to the live feed, I hear a segment about Social Media by one of WFTV Orlando’s Legal Analysts, Bill Sheaffer (who is also an Attorney), speak about Social Media. I am unable to play back the direct quote. So, I apologize if it isn’t an exact quote and/or a bit out of order, but he states (and I think it is important to add):

“Social Media is always there. It’s a new world… with an emphasis on the importance of Social Media… Going back to the Casey Anthony case… her home computer was a vital piece of evidence in the case with her daughter. Twitter wasn’t back then what it is now, recording every moment of our daily lives. Even when deleted, it is always there. You can’t just scrub it away…”

And, this content always stands the chance of becoming viral in our World, just as it has for Rachel Jeantel.

Yesterday’s loss of the grandson of historical icon and leader, Malcolm X, has already become part of History, Controversy, Conspiracy, and even Viral Conversation throughout the Internet. Malcolm Shabazz, 28, was murdered Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Tijuana, Mexico.

While “no one knows” who killed him or “why,” Shabazz felt it was coming and explained the process of assassination in which no one would care to ask questions. In an Online record that is currently circulating Facebook with a “RIP Malcolm” photo attached, he explained, in his own words, how he was constantly being harassed and forced to keep a distance from loved ones, not disclosing information to them… in addition to a plethora of other interesting details in his life.

Much of these details highlighted media defamation of his character and crimes that he claimed to have been “cornered” into accepting blame for.

Much earlier this month, an audio recorded “open letter” to Pope John Paul II from 1998 began its recirculation in the midst of a new addition to an FBI Most Wanted List. Assata Shakur has been named a terrorist by the United States and marked with a $1 million dollar reward for her capture. The open letter is circulating the Internet, speaking in defense of actions that “set her on the run” and in what seems to be self-defense.

Similar to Shabazz, we are able to get another side of the story and paint a much clearer picture of what happened that led up to the incident.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have Christopher Dorner, who was allegedly burnt alive in a cabin fire atop a California mountain chain. It is to be noted that Dorner personally placed a “manifesto” onto his Facebook page explaining his motives and reasonings of events that were to come in latter days. This manifesto was widely spread on the net, even after his Facebook page had been shut down. This, alongside mass murders, led to a manhunt of suspected “cop killer” who was now on the loose and had a distinct vendetta with an extreme plan of action.

Here, we have three situations in which Social Media has given another side of the story. Generally, once a person becomes a fugitive, is murdered or placed into imprisonment, we hear nothing else about the topic, unless it is false or sensationalized by media outlets who are in search of higher ratings. Social Media has allowed these pieces to go viral and for us to become familiar with another side of the story.

Whether or not these contents are genuine and/or truthful, a deeper look into the situation and a furthered understanding can take place in the face of an audience, who would otherwise scorn an innocent person, rather than understand what went wrong and why. And, such is the case on frequent occasions.

Because of the “Power of Viral,” we have found many lost persons, located dangerous villains, reunited loved ones (even pets), freed hostages, petitioned wrongdoings, petitioned action in situations where many have been given the cold shoulder by corrupt agencies, and many more situations that have brought about a positive change in the lives of the human race. In fact, many continue to hand over the “Power of Attorney” of intellectual property and private information to be posted Online by trusted friends and family in the event that something should happen to them, as is the case of Malcolm Shabazz who had to purposely distance himself from those he cared about most in this world.

Not only has the Power of Viral aided the lives of individuals in trouble, but it has also benefitted causes and Nations in finding hope for the future. In Iran and Israel, an accidental “peace campaign” once took place that united members of each enemy territory with others of the opposing territory. This campaign took place when citizens of Israel posed for “Israel loves Iran” posters, in which were sent to Iran via “social,” as Iran did the same to Israel.

“Everyday people” had posed for these posters and placed them on social networks in “free speech” to the opposition of the political choices to go to war. It was rumored to cause an accidental movement of peace between the nations who have been in direct warfare for over a decade.

On the contrary, viral content has created a means for truth to be spread during cases of all-out warfare, in which “outside” territories claim it to be in total civil war. Those who are living the horror are actually able to report “hands-on” and “breaking” information and enemy locations, such as through GPS, photos and video. These items are also beneficial in convicting war criminals of the heinous acts that they commit.

Syrian Truth and Syrian Democratic Future has “outed” many traitors and terrorists on their Facebook Pages, while distributing graphic content that keeps the World aware of real-life terror taking place daily in Syria, in hopes of creating a positive change within it. They stand for the voice of Syria and in gathering allies around the globe to commit to putting bullies in their place.

While the aim is not to market negative aspects of the real world, the Power of Viral takes the front row in making and recording history in the 21st Century. The goal is to distribute information, whether through Word of Mouth or via search engines. Organic SEO results take place through content distribution and Viral Marketing through shares and views. Information is being spread and people are being made aware of corruption and terror.

Can we use this concept to bring about actual change and peace in the future? Or, will this ability be taken from us in the future due to misinformation by those who will learn to use Viral for their own selfish purposes?

In time, we shall see. For now, let’s make the best of it with open eyes and open minds!
